Daily Prompt: Places (Where Shoes Fear to Tread)

Piñones, Puerto Rico

“Adopt the pace of nature: her secret is patience.”
― Ralph Waldo Emerson

Where Shoes Fear to Tread

If I could be anywhere, it would be the beach.
Where peace, sun and sand are within my reach.

Nothing matters except what is in front of me.
Water and sky stretching beyond what the eye can see.

Sand for a blanket and a tree for shade.
Cooling off with with some icy lemonade.

With a pen and pad I plan my future.
Whispering my requests to the breeze, I await an answer.

Goodmorning! Rise and shine!

Get ready and I’ll meet you outside.

I have illuminated your path so you can see me.

Each step brings new lessons, so walk with caution and without haste.

Living Waters

Watching raindrops reminds me of the frailty of life.

How change is a constant companion in mortal existence.

One minute you are up, the next you are down.

To continue evolution, we must rise in perseverance.
