Weekly Photo Challenge: Forward (Footsteps of Evolution)

A man travels the world over in search of what he needs and returns home to find it.

Footsteps of Evolution

I ascended the plate of a mountain, so God could hear my words the loudest.

My knees shivered in the stream of a valley, while I beckoned for the Spirit to baptize me.

Overlooking the edge of a plateau, I realized the depths of my smallness.

Watching prairie dogs nuzzle on the Great Plains, demonstrated that love is best reflected in action.

I descended the slope of a hill, to deliver thank you cards and Baby Blue Eyes annuals to the ghosts of my past.

While exploring from these glorious landforms, I noticed many footsteps etched in soil.  One set of footsteps was larger than the others.  In hot pursuit I followed these footsteps until exhaustion subdued my legs.  Continuously, I prayed for strength until sleep closed my eyes.  The next morning I found myself home and unaware of how I arrived there. Careful inspection of each room revealed the only body present was my own. Upon opening my front door the impression of two large footprints covered in soil marked my patio.

  1. Wow! I really like your picture; the way it curves so you want to move forward to see what’s beyond it. I also really like the tree near the left, it really accents the road! Great interpretation of “forward”!
